【摘要】:ThispracticecoversthecompatibilityofmixturesofturbinelubricatingoilsofthesameISOVGgradeandtypeasdefinedbySpecificationD4304.TheTier1methodcomparesthevisualappearancesofspecificmixtureswiththoseoftheneatoilsafterstorageatspecifiedconditions.Ifthecurrentin-serviceoiliscausingproblemsorifcircumstancesindicatetheneedforadditionaltesting,aTier2methodcomparesselectedperformancepropertiesofthemixtureanditsconstituentoils.TheTier1andTier2methodscanbeusedtoevaluatenew(unused)lubricantcompatibilityortheeffectsofaddingnew(unused)lubricanttoin-servicelubricantinthesystem.Thismethoddoesnotevaluatethewearpreventioncharacteristics,loadcarryingcapacity,orthemechanicalshearstabilityoflubricantsmixtureswhileinservice.Ifanti-wear(AW),extremepressure(EP),orshearstabilityaretobeevaluated,furthertestingoftheseparametersmayberequired.Tier1Mixturesofthetwoconstituentoilstobeevaluatedarepreparedatspecifiedproportions,storedinanovenat65?Cfor168h,andthenevaluatedforchangesinphysicalappearance.Tier1-Mixturesofthetwoconstituentoilstobeevaluatedarepreparedatspecifiedproportions,storedinanovenat65?Cfor168h,andthenevaluatedforchangesphysicalappearanceandparametersdetailedin7.3.Mixturesofthetwoconstituentoilsareevaluatedinaprimarytestingprotocolusingthefollowingstandards:1.5.1Forcompatiblemixtures,asupplemental(nonmandatory)testingschemeissuggestedwhencircumstancesindicatetheneedforadditionaltestingthebeyondTier2primaryrecommendedtests.Note0Theoxidationstabilitytestmethodshouldbeselectedbasedontheproducttypeandinagreementwiththelubricantsupplier(seeforoptions).Unlikeothertestsdescribedinthispractice,theimpactonoxidationstabilitymaynotbeeasilyinterpretedwithapass/failrating.Theuserisencouragedtocontactthelubricantsupplierforassistanceintheevaluationofthedata.Sequentialorconcurrenttestingiscontinueduntilthetestrequestororuserissatisfiedthattheintentofthispracticehasbeenmet.IfanymixturefailstheTier1visualappearancemethodoranyoftheTier2primarytests,whenrequested,theoilsareincompatible.IfallmixturespasstheTier1orTier2tests,theoilsareconsideredcompatiblebythosemethods.Thispracticeappliesonlytolubricatingoilshavingcharacteristicssuitableforevaluationbythesuggestedtestmethods.Ifthescopeofaspecifictestmethodlimitstestingtothoseoilswithinaspecifiedrangeofproperties,oilsoutsidethatrangecannotbetestedforcompatibilitybythattestmethod.Thispracticemaybeusedtoevaluatethecompatibilityofdifferenttypesandgradesofoil.However,itisnotintendedtoevaluatesuchmixtures.Theuserisadvisedtoconsultwithsuppliersinthesesituations.Thispracticedoesnotpurporttocoveralltestmethodsthatcouldbeemployed.ThevaluesstatedinSIunitsaretoberegardedasthestandard.Thevaluesgiveninparenthesesareforinformationonly.Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.
