【摘要】:Thedataobtainedfromtheuseofthispracticewillprovideabasisfortheevaluationofcoolantperformanceinpassengercarandlighttruckservice.Thedataobtainedmayalsobeusedtoprovideaddedsignificancetothedataobtainedfromsimulatedserviceandenginedynamometertests.1.1Thispracticecoverstheprocedureforevaluatingcorrosionprotectionandperformanceofanenginecoolantinpassengercarandlighttruckservice.Note18212;Coolantevaluationinvehicleservicemayrequireconsiderabletimeandexpense;therefore,theproductshouldbepretestedinthelaboratoryforgeneralacceptability.Testsmayvaryfromsmall,closelycontrolledtests,tolargetestswhereclosecontrolisnotalwayspractical.1.2Theunitsquotedinthispracticearetoberegardedasstandard.Thevaluesgiveninparenthesesareapproximateequivalentsforinformationonly.1.3Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.SpecificprecautionarystatementsaregiveninSection7andNoteA1.1.
