【摘要】:ThispartofBS7291specifiesrequirementsandtestmethodsforcrosslinkedpolyethylene(PE-X)pipesandassociatedfittingsintendedforusewithinbuildingsfortheconveyanceofcoldwater,includingdrinkingwater,andheatedwater,foruseindomestichotandcoldwaterdistributionandheatinginstallations.TheserequirementssupplementthegeneralrequirementsinBS7291-1,whicharealsoapplicable.NOTEBeforereadingthispart,itisessentialtoreadBS7291-1.ThisstandardspecifiesgeneralrequirementsformaterialstobeusedfororintheformofPE-Xpipes,withorwithoutabarrierlayerorassociatedfittingsandcomponents.ParticularrequirementsarealsospecifiedforPE-Xpipealoneorjointedwithpush-fitandcompressionfittingsconformingtoBS7291orotherBritishStandardsintendedforusewithpipesconformingtothispart.ThispartofBS7291providesforpipesdimensionedtosuittwoestablishedmetricseries:BSISO4065:1996forthermoplasticspipesgenerallyandBSEN1057,forcompatibilitywithcopperpipeworksystemswidelyusedfortheseapplications.ThisBritishStandardisapplicableonlytoClass“S”pipesandfittings.Itdoesnotspecifydimensionalrequirementsforfittingsbecausetheperformancerequirementsspecifiedforfittings,whentestedindividuallyorinassemblieswithpipe,areintendedtoensurethatthedimensionsofthefittingsaresatisfactoryforjointingpurposesandpressurecontainment.
