【摘要】:ThispartofEN1176specifiesgeneralsafetyrequirementsforpublicplaygroundequipmentandsurfacing.Additionalsafetyrequirementsforspecificpiecesofplaygroundequipmentarespecifiedinsubsequentpartsofthisstandard.ThispartofEN1176coversplaygroundequipmentforallchildren.IthasbeenpreparedwithfullrecognitionoftheneedforsupervisionofyoungchildrenandoflessableorlesscompetentchildrenThepurposeofthispartofEN1176istoensureaproperlevelofsafetywhenplayingin,onoraroundplay-groundequipment,andatthesametimetopromoteactivitiesandfeaturesknowntobenefitchildrenbecausetheyprovidevaluableexperiencesthatwillenablethemtocopewithsituationsoutsidetheplayground.ThispartofEN1176isapplicabletoplaygroundequipmentintendedforindividualandcollectiveusebychil-dren,butexcludingadventureplaygrounds.Itisalsoapplicabletoequipmentandunitsinstalledaschildren'splaygroundequipmentalthoughtheyarenotmanufacturedassuch,butexcludesthoseitemsdefinedastoysinEN71andtheToysSafetyDirective.NOTEAdventureplaygroundsarefenced,securedplaygrounds,runandstaffedinaccordancewiththewidelyac-ceptedprinciplesthatencouragechildren'sdevelopmentandoftenuseself-builtequipment.ThispartofEN1176specifiestherequirementsthatwillprotectthechildfromhazardsthatheorshemaybeunabletoforeseewhenusingtheequipmentasintended,orinamannerthatcanbereasonablyanticipated.
