【摘要】:Thisspecificationcoverscommercialproducts,enginecoolantgradeethyleneglycolandpropyleneglycol,includingvirginglycolsandthosederivedfromtherecyclingofvehicleenginecoolantsandindustrialsourceglycols.TypesEG-1andPG-1coverglycolswithsufficientlylowlimitsoncomponentstoallowablendedcoolanttomeetmostOEM(OriginalEquipmentManufacturer)specifications.Thesetypeswillprobablybevirginmaterials,althoughredistillationcouldproduceasufficientlypureproduct.TypesEG-2andPG-2coverglycolthatwillbesuitableformanycoolants.Thesetypescanbeeitherredistilledorvirgin.Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.ThevaluesstatedinSIunitsaretoberegardedasthestandard.
