【摘要】:1.1Thisspecificationcoversstandarddimensionalrequirementsforobtaining,withinpracticallimits,interchangeabilityinsphericalgroundjointsforordinarylaboratoryandindustrialapplications.Itcoversdimensionalinterchangeabilityofthegroundsurfacesonlyanddoesnotinvolvedesigncharacteristicsoftheitemexceptwherespecified,nordoesitinvolvephysicalorchemicalcharacteristicsofthematerialused.Note18212;ThedimensionspertainingtosphericalgroundjointsweretakenfromtheCommercialStandardCS21x2013;58oftheU.S.DepartmentofCommerce.Note28212;Althoughglassisthemostcommonlyusedmaterialforgroundjoints,othermaterialsmaybeusedasspecified.SphericaljointsconstructedfromglassshallconformtoSpecificationsE438andE671.1.2ThefollowingprecautionarycaveatpertainsonlytotheTestMethodportion,Section4,ofthisspecification.Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.
