MIL-HDBK-1461, DEPARTMENT OF DEFENSE HANDBOOK: AMMUNITION MANUFACTURERS AND THEIR SYMBOLS (15 JAN 1998)., This standard establishes and describes the manufacturer's identification, symbol used int eh lot numbers for all DOD contracted manufacture, renovation, or regrouping of ammunition and ammunition components. The usage of manufacturers identification symbols is defined and described in MIL-STD-1168, Ammunition Lot Numbering.
